Curved Piecing

The guest teacher and speaker for the weekend of October 1st and 2nd will be Lynn Wheatley from Vermont.  Lynn is a certified instructor for Sew Kind of Wonderful, Laura Heine and Studio 180 Design.   To learn more about Lynn: check out “Lynn Wheatley Quilter” on-line

The full-day Saturday workshop will focus on curved piecing using Sew Kind of Wonderful Mini QCR Tool to make their Mini Citrus pattern, a 39”x39” piece when done.

 Quoting Lynn: “This is a stress-free, pin-less method for curved piecing”.

To see what projects you could make after learning how to use the Mini QCR Tool, go to the Sew Kind of Wonderful website to find patterns and books that use it. Lynn will have books and patterns for sale at the workshop and at the Sunday meeting.

The cost of the full-day workshop is $35.00 plus supplies.  Participants will need the pattern and tool which can be purchased from Lynn. She offers a 10% discount on these.  A full list of supplies and how to contact Lynn are available when you sign up. Payment of the fee is required at time of sign up.

To sign up:   See Yvonne Berman in person at the May or June quilt guild meeting.  If you cannot attend a meeting and would like to sign up, send a check for $35 made out to “HAVQG” to Yvonne Berman; 14 Emerson Ct; Amherst MA 01002.  Upon receiving your check. Yvonne will send supply list to you via e-mail attachment.  If you prefer a paper copy, include a SASE with your check.

Please note:  Lynn requires that those taking the Saturday workshop be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and had a booster shot.
